Cadet Program

Civil Air Patrol builds up strong citizens for the future by providing all the cadets Leadership training, technical education, scholarships and career education to all young men and woman in all ages of 12-21.

Civil Air Patrol offers more than $200,000 college scholarships each year. Every year about 10% of freshman of the U.S. Air Force Academy is compromised of former C.A.P. cadets and they are over prepared!

C.A.P. members are given the opportunity to witness their first flight through the cadet program. The one first flight that could turn a young member into a pilot. Many C.A.P. members receiver their private pilot's license through C.A.P.. There are also opportunities for cadets to fly in a glider and even powercraft!  Civil Air Patrol gives the chance for many cadets in the nation to be able to witness activities such as encampments, leadership schools, emergency services schools, flying schools, and many others. Activities that could very possibly give cadets the tools that they need for the real world.

Also cadets can enjoy overseas travel through the International Air Cadet Exchange. and C.A.P. families can even welcome foreign exchange students into their home here in the U.S.

For non-C.A.P. members, the C.A.P. school programs fills the gaps between elementary school D.A.R.E. and high school R.O.T.C.. C.A.P. members, including cadets, volunteer their time in public schools, teaching respect, manners and personal accountability in a drug free environment.
